【摘要】:1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftheflashpointoffuels,lubeoils,solventsandotherliquidsbyacontinuouslyclosedcuptesterutilizingaspecimensizeof2mL,cupsizeof7mL,withaheatingrateof2.5176;Cperminute.1.1.1Apparatusrequiringaspecimensizeof1mL,cupsizeof4mL,andaheatingrateof5.5176;CperminutemustberunaccordingtoTestMethodD6450.1.2Thisflashpointtestmethodisadynamicmethodanddependsondefiniteratesoftemperatureincrease.Itisoneofthemanyflashpointtestmethodsavailableandeveryflashpointtestmethod,includingthisone,isanempiricalmethod.Note18212;Flashpointvaluesarenotaconstantphysicalchemicalpropertyofmaterialstested.Theyareafunctionoftheapparatusdesign,theconditionoftheapparatusused,andtheoperationalprocedurecarriedout.Flashpointcan,therefore,onlybedefinedintermsofastandardtestmethodandnogeneralvalidcorrelationcanbeguaranteedbetweenresultsobtainedbydifferenttestmethodsorwheredifferenttestapparatusisspecified.1.3Thistestmethodutilizesaclosedbutunsealedcupwithairinjectedintothetestchamber.1.4Thistestmethodissuitablefortestingsampleswithaflashpointfrom35to225176;C.Note28212;Flashpointdeterminationsbelow35176;Candabove225176;Cmaybeperformed;however,theprecisionhasnotbeendeterminedbelowandabovethesetemperatures.1.5Iftheusersspecificationrequiresadefinedflashpointmethodotherthanthismethod,neitherthismethodnoranyothertestmethodshouldbesubstitutedfortheprescribedtestmethodwithoutobtainingcomparativedataandanagreementfromthespecifier.1.6ThevaluesstatedinSIaretoberegardedasstandard.TemperaturesareindegreesCelsius,pressureinkilo-Pascals.1.7Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecificwarningstatements,see7.2,8.5,and10.1.2.
